Call for Papers - British Association for Canadian Studies - Edinburgh, April 2020

The British Association for Canadian Studies (BACS) is holding its annual conference April 23-25, 2020, at the Centre of Canadian Studies, University of Edinburgh.  The conference theme is "Canada and International Orders."

Though any topic related to Canada will be considered, BACS is especially inviting paper and panel proposals addressing the following themes:

• The British Empire and the Commonwealth

• La Francophonie and Quebec's external relations

• 'Sleeping with an elephant': Canada and the United States

International Journal of Canadian Studies Call for Submissions from Junior Scholars

The editorial board of the International Journal of Canadian Studies is inviting early career scholars to submit a manuscript in English or French in any area of Canadian Studies for possible inclusion ina thematic section of the journal entitled "New Generation."

Deadline for submissions is May 31, 2019.

Spring 2019 issue of the American Review of Canadian Studies is available

The Spring 2019 issue of the American Review of Canadian Studies (ARCS) - the first produced by our new editorial team of Andrew Holman and Brian Payne at Bridgewater State University - is now available.

ACSUS' 25th Biennial Call for Proposals Deadline Extended - May 15th

Please note that the deadline for paper and panel proposals for the 25th ACSUS Biennial to be held at the Omni Mont-Royal in beautiful Montreal November 13-16th, 2019 has been extended to May 15th.

Spring 2019 issue of Think Canada!

The Spring 2019 issue of "Think Canada!" - our ACSUS Newsletter - is available below.  This edition includes the "Call for Papers" for our Biennial conference next November.  It also discusses a new book by Stephen Brooks (ed) entited Promoting Canadian Studies Abroad, and a new initiative led by Nik Nanos, Founder and Chief Data Scientist at Nanos Research - the "Advancing Canada Coalition."  This effort is aimed at encouraging the Canadian government to resume funding for Canadian Studies around the world.  Also included in the Newsletter is a remembrance of our friend and former
