Call for Articles - "What's New About New France?"

The editors of Etudes Canadiannes/Canadian Studies seek papers (in English or French) that explore ways in which doctoral students or established scholars have renewed our perspectives on the history of New France (1534-1763) over the past 10 years.  The Deadline for teh receipt of proposals (250-300 words) is February 15, 2017 with selected articles due by May 15th, 2017.   Full details can be found by clicking on the link below.

CFP - "Indigenous Expressions of Culture in Storytelling, Drama, Theatre, and Performance"

The University of Silesia, Poland and the University of the Fraser Valley, Canada, invite paper proposals for a conference entitled "Indigenous Expressions of Culture in Storytelling, Drama, Theatre, and Performance- Traditional & Contemporary Canadian and Polish Upper Silesian Perspectives" to be held April 26-28, 2017 at the University of Silesia's Sosnowiec campus.  Tomson Highway is among the confirmed speakers at the conference.  The deadline for the CFP is December 31st, 2016, and notifications of acceptance will go out January 6th, 2017.

"Canada Inclusive/Exclusive: 150 Years & Beyond" CFP

The Center for the Study of Canada at SUNY Plattsburgh, in partnership with Fulbright Canada and UC London, are pleased to solicit paper proposals for a conference/special journal issue entitled "Canada Inclusive/Exclusive: 150 Years & Beyond."  The conference will be held in London July 6-8, 2017. Proposals are due Februrary 15, 2017.

24th Biennial - Oct 18-21, 2017 - Call for Proposals

The 24th Biennial of the Association for Canadian Studies (ACSUS) will be held at the Tuscany Suites & Casino, Las Vegas, NV, October 18-21st, 2017.  The theme for the meeting will be "Celebrating Canada's Sesquicentennial Journey."

Call for Applications- 2017-18 CFR International Affairs Fellowship in Canada

The Council on Foreign Relations is seeking applicants for its new International Affairs Fellowship in Canada. Selected fellows will spend between six and twelve months at a Canadian institution to deepen their knowledge of Canada.  The fellowship awards a stipend of $95,000 for a period of twelve months. The 2017-2018 application deadline is October 31, 2016.
