"Hockey Night in Cascadia: From Canada’s Game to a Kraken Future"

Hockey has a long tradition of fostering binational relations between Canada and the United States through diplomacy, media, and economic exchange. To this end, "Hockey Night in Cascadia: From Canada's Game to a Kraken Future" will explore the sport as a catalyst for cross-border engagement and a vehicle for political, social, and economic impact.

This hybrid event will take place on April 5th, beginning at 5pm (PDT). Light refreshments will be available for in-person attendees from 5-5:30 in the Viking Union Multipurpose Room on Western Washington University's campus. The panel discussion and Zoom webinar will begin at 5:30, followed by a Q&A.

This event will feature hockey historian Andrew Holman (Bridgewater State University), Geoff Baker (Seattle Times), and Andrew Bloom (Seattle Kraken), and will be moderated by Professor Derek Moscato (Western Washington University).
