Quebec Election Panel - Oct. 18, 2022

The British Association of Canadian Studies programme, hosted online by the University College London (UCL) Institute of the Americas, will be taking place once a month, on Tuesday evenings from 6.00pm to 7.30pm (UK time). 

The first event on Tuesday 18 October at 6.00pm will be a panel discussion on the Quebec elections that took place on Monday 3 October. 

Call for Papers: Undergraduate Research Conference - "The United States, Canada, and Quebec"

The Canadian Studies Program at Bridgewater State University invites paper proposals from undergraduate university students in the United States and Canada for an in-person international research conference on the subject "The United States, Canada, and Quebec" to be held on Friday, March 31, 2023. All topics will be considered. Presentations can focus on Canada or Quebec alone, on Canada-US or Quebec-US relations, or can offer a comparative perspective. Panels will consist of three 15-minute papers, with questions to follow.

Enders/ACSUS 50 Research Award

The Association for Canadian Studies in the United States is pleased to announce a new opportunity for researchers in the field of Canadian Studies: the Enders/ACSUS 50 Research Award. With the generous support of the Thomas O. Enders Endowment, and in honor of the 50th anniversary of ACSUS, this $15,000 award will be granted biennially to support a U.S.-based scholar whose current research or creative project promises to make a significant contribution to the field of Canadian Studies.

Call for Papers: ARCS Special Issue on Canada-U.S. Relations

The editors of the American Review of Canadian Studies invite submissions for the journal’s biennial Thomas O. Enders Special Issue on Canada-U.S. Relations, which they plan to publish in late 2023. Full-length article submissions from all disciplines and from interdisciplinary perspectives are welcome, but they should, in some way, focus on the issue’s main theme: the past, present, or future of Canada-U.S. Relations.

Deadline for submissions for the 2023 Enders Special Issue of ARCS is January 15, 2023.

ARCS Summer 2022 Issue Now Online

The editors of the American Review of Canadian Studies are pleased to announce to the Canadian Studies community the publication of volume 52, issue 2 (Summer 2022). The issue's articles and reviews cover a variety of timely and scholarly subjects. All ACSUS members can access the journal (its current issue and back issues) for free using the “ARCS Journal” link on the ACSUS website.
